When you drop a file on a typical online converter, it travels to someone else’s server, gets processed there and comes back. Animdock Tools work differently: the file never leaves your device.

How it works
Modern browsers can do much more than show web pages:
- Web Audio decodes audio and video soundtracks — used by Audio to SRT.
- WebCodecs gives direct access to your GPU’s video encoders — used by the Video Converter and Video Resizer.
- WebAssembly runs compiled code at near-native speed — used for AVIF and HEIC images.
- WebGPU and ONNX models run AI on your device — Whisper for speech recognition, a segmentation model for the Background Remover.
Our server only delivers the page. The libraries and AI models download from public CDNs once and are cached by your browser; your images, videos and audio stay in the tab’s memory.
Why it matters
- Privacy — ID scans, family photos, unreleased videos and client work never sit on a stranger’s server.
- Speed — no upload or download wait; a 2 GB video starts converting immediately.
- No limits for the wrong reasons — no queues, credits or file-size paywalls driven by server costs.

The trade-off
Your device does the work, so a very old phone will be slower than a data centre, and AI tools download their model the first time. We think that’s a fair price for keeping your files yours. Try it with the Background Remover or Audio to SRT.
