Screenshots of a playing video come out blurry and include the player controls. The Video Frame Extractor saves the exact frame at the video’s full resolution.

1. Drop the video
MP4, MOV and WebM work — anything your browser can play. The player appears with a timeline and a timestamp accurate to the millisecond.
2. Find the frame
Drag the timeline, then use ◀ 1 frame and 1 frame ▶ — or the arrow keys — to move one frame at a time. The tool measures the video’s real frame rate, so each step is one actual frame.
3. Capture it
Choose PNG (lossless, best for editing and thumbnails) or JPG (smaller, for sharing) and press Capture this frame. The file name includes the timestamp, so you always know where it came from.
4. Or capture many frames at once
Set Capture every to 0.5–30 seconds and press Extract frames. The frames appear in a grid; click any frame to deselect it, then Download selected (ZIP).

Tip: for a YouTube thumbnail, capture a PNG, then fit it to 1280×720 with the YouTube thumbnail resizer.
